David Coffaro Estate Vineyard , home to Dave and Pat Coffaro, makes premium wines at a fair price; their winery is their fun, and very apparently, their passion. I spent time with both of them, as can most visitors to this small, under 7,000 case-producing, green gem of estate vineyards and efficient winery, solar powered, and sports-bedecked, entertainment bedazzling TR in a lovely part of the DCV, vineyards stretching to the horizon, flowers and vegetables, gardens surrounding the property. Complete with Weather Station. Dave says that his life is an open-book and he is incredibly open and willing to share information, wine-making, futures ideas, barrel tasting info; during our Wine Road Barrel Tasting, Dave is always one of our star-presenters at our Member Pre-Barrel Tasting Seminar. Dave often has barrel samples to share with visitors and he is ALL about the future with his Crazy Coffaro Back to the Futures Program. Vegetable Garden; Dave gave me delicious tomatoes and clipped fresh herbs for the romantic Italian Pizza Dinner he was making for Pat.

Dave is a lover of sports; even I, raised by a father who eschewed “organized sports”, am impressed. The memorabilia intrigues even me….And the big screen amidst the barrels in the TR- well, Dave professes a love of “Educating Rita” and Mahler, but I suspect that he shows more timely entertainment on this big screen!
